Good Morning Ladies...My Husband just got transferred to Solano on Thursday so I'm excited because he was finally able to call home! I hadn't heard or seen him since October! Sooo, on June 8th, I'm going to start my weekly visits and I'm excited to FINALLY see him again! I do have a couple of questions...can I wear red? Does the dress code apply to 1 year olds? Is the wait long? Do they sell those ticket things for pictures or are pictures only once in a while? Ummm, for Friday visits how early should I be there? My boyfriend is at Solano. Sometimes the waiting can be long. It all depends if any particular race is on lockdown. If there is a lockdown then more than likely the wait is not long or you can just walk up to the processing building. What yard is your husband at? If he is on yard 3 or 4 then you will have to take the shuttle bus to the otherside. Yards 1 and 2 you can just walk over to the visiting area from the processing building. If the visiting room is packed out they start terminating visits after 2 hours. The CO's are pretty cool. You can wear red. No camouflage print on adults or children. No white t-shirts. You can wear white shirts just as long as they do not "look like a t-shirt." If that makes sense. LOL!!! Glad you will be able to see your husband. Good luck with your long awaited visit!!!

Umm, I just know he is in H dorm...I don't know what yard and all that is... Hopefully it goes by smoothly! I'll be there now EVERY Friday, Saturday & Sunday! :thumbsup:

H dorm is on yard 3. So you will have to take the shuttle over there. Once you get processed the shuttle will take you over to the visiting area. Also before you go visit make sure you call to find out if there is a lockdown. the number is 1-800-374-8474 options 1,2,3. On Friday you can be there at 12. On Saturday and Sunday you can get there at 7 am. If you are there before the gate opens and park along peabody rd. the Vacaville Police will issue a ticket. Hope this info helps you out. My mistake H dorm is on yard 2. You don't have to ride the shuttle over to the other side.
