Hi,

does anyone out there know anything about how the parole board decides on revoking parole?

my fiance is going up for his revocation ( i think i spelled that wrong sorry!) hearing and i am not sure what to expect. what the prossess is etc etc..

It is basically the same as a parole hearing, same parole board.

They simply state the facts they have, ask your side of the story, and ask you to step out. Then your called back in the hear the decision.

If they release you, your released ASAP. If they decide to revoke you, then whatever the balance of your remaining sentence is, is your sentence. So if you have 12 months left, 2/3 is your stat date, 2/3 full parole date, etc... Of course it'll take 6 months to see the board again, so you'd want to apply immediately.

If you are attending the hearing, or legal counsel, (legal aid will pay for it), then you'll be asked questions by the board. You'll all sit at the same table, and again, they'll ask if anybody has anything to add, then you step out and they decide.
