My boyfriend told me to send him some pencils with my next letter. He said to remove the metal and the eraser and that they would be accepted. I've spoken to 3 different guards, 2 of them said it was not allowed and 1 of them said it was. I have also spoken to a lot of family members on visitation days and they all said they they send their loved ones pencils in the mail too. Does anyone know anything about this?

I figured someone here had to have some expirience like this when their people were on the county level.

Any help would be appreciated.

When my husband was in county jail I was allowed to take items on the day I would visit. I would take things in a sack, they would take them when I got there and go through it. If it was something they didn't allow they would give it back to me before I left.

I remember taking him paper, books, pens, a deck of cards...things like that. I think it probably depends on the people at the jail.

Good luck!!!

Hey there and thanks. I'll find out if I am allowed to bring things up there for him or not. :)
