I will be going to Carswell FMC within 2 months. I have read articles and am appaled at the conditions. Are they all true?
 What are you allowed to bring with you? Clothes, pictures of children, writing paper, stamps, medication and equipment? What can I read to prepare for this time? I really need some guidance. I am scared to death. How soon can you contact someone by phone or mail once you turn yourself in? I will be so far from home and everyone is so worried. Any help is appreciated!:)

Hello! My sister just surrendered herself to Carswell FMC about a week ago. She is doing fine and doesn't have any complaints. Are you going to the Hospital or General Population side? She is currently in the hospital side. If you have any questions, I would be happy to try and answer them as best as I can. You can send me a PM if you would like and I can go into more detail.

I will be going to the medical side. I want to know about the doctor care, are you able to take medication that you were on. What can you take with you? How soon before you can contact some one on the outside by mail or phone?

Thanks
