Ladies, how are you all doing today? I'm interested in learning how is the living arrangments now in Alderson, if you dont mind? How many woman live in a room, or there dorms now? are the job assingments according to your skills?.
Ladies, I once was an inmate at Alderson sentenced to served 2 years. I dont regret the experience because I came to a decision that was not where I wanted to spend my life. Ladies I made serious changes and Alderson played a role in making up my mind. I wish all the ladies in Alderson the best. I suggest while you are serving your time keep a positive attitude and work towards gaining skills that upon your release your a marketable person.
Ladies I was released in 1981, and by the grace of God, I didnt return. It took years for me to change but ladies change can happen. I'm living proof of complete change. Most important I wanted to change and i realized changing would save my life. I once believed living as a square was for suckers but being a criminal I didnt control my own life I obtained my GED in Alderson, but i had to imporve my scores for college. I found my nitch in life and became a Credential Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor. I wanted to provide the clients I worked with a knowledge base on addiction and living without drugs. Later I earned my Bachelors degree in Human Services and continued until I earned a Masters in Social work. I was once sitting right there waiting for count. God loves us all but we have to do the foot work. There's people that will guide you thur the maze once your released , grab their hand and live. Please ladies we are mothers , sisters, aunts, wives and most important we are human beings that deserves to live a full life without being in jail . :)
