Ladies, how are you all doing today? I'm interested in learning how is the living arrangments now in Alderson, if you dont mind? How many woman live in a room, or there dorms now? are the job assingments according to your skills?.
Ladies, I once was an inmate at Alderson sentenced to served 2 years. I dont regret the experience because I came to a decision that was not where I wanted to spend my life. Ladies I made serious changes and Alderson played a role in making up my mind. I wish all the ladies in Alderson the best. I suggest while you are serving your time keep a positive attitude and work towards gaining skills that upon your release your a marketable person.
Ladies I was released in 1981, and by the grace of God, I didnt return. It took years for me to change but ladies change can happen. I'm living proof of complete change. Most important I wanted to change and i realized changing would save my life. I once believed living as a square was for suckers but being a criminal I didnt control my own life I obtained my GED in Alderson, but i had to imporve my scores for college. I found my nitch in life and became a Credential Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor. I wanted to provide the clients I worked with a knowledge base on addiction and living without drugs. Later I earned my Bachelors degree in Human Services and continued until I earned a Masters in Social work. I was once sitting right there waiting for count. God loves us all but we have to do the foot work. There's people that will guide you thur the maze once your released , grab their hand and live. Please ladies we are mothers , sisters, aunts, wives and most important we are human beings that deserves to live a full life without being in jail . :)

I was just recently released from Alderson Federal Prison Camp, and I am currently in the Halfway House. Things at Alderson have gone through a lot of changes. It feels really good to be out of there. I want to wish everyone at Alderson the best, and I pray they get through this the best they can. Alderson changed my life for the better, and I will never forget the women I met there. They helped me out with a lot. I love and miss them all.

Hi all,

I just received my designation....Alderson...I was hoping for Danbury FPC - but I am headed to Alderson FPC. What do I have to look forward to there?

Any and ALL information would be welcome...I had my mind wrapped around Danbury and was researching that place up to now....

Help!

I am to self-surrender to Alderson June 20th for a 9 year sentence unless I am granted my motion to stay out pending my appeal. Please keep me in your prayers. I was allowed to stay out until my daughter graduates next Monday. I have the same story as many ... first time, non-violent ... addicted ... drug dealers testified against me, go free ... prosecution hating on me ... single mother of four ... own business for 16 years ... volunteer .. what does it matter? What matters is that I was on prescribed pain medication for real pain and after going to treatment all of my pain is gone and I have 15 months clean! All that matters to me today is my family, especially my kids and g-kids. The pain they are feeling is what hurts the most. We are a very close family. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou,
Sharon Manassas Va.

you live in cubes so there are about 150 women in each unit except if you land in a fishbowl there are like 8. they don't have fishbowls in the drug program though. you will never get any privacy just hope for a good bunkie. its not so bad though - prison saved my life i went in 2005 and just got out. good luck
