My husband was in lancaster for reception for 60 days, then he was sent to Susanville! It varies by individual, but the counselors usually say about 90 days. No they do not always stay there.

My boyfriend was just transferred to Ironwood about a week ago. He was in reception for a little over 90 days.

I read this off of the CDCR website PDF file :

State of California
California Code of Regulations
Title 15. Crime Prevention and Corrections
Division 3
Rules and Regulations of the Director of Corrections
Updated through 12/31/2004
that:TITLE 15 DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS § 3076.2
(e) Transportation Arrangements.
(1) An inmate’s transportation upon release shall be arranged
by the facility, unless a private party has contacted the facility at
least three days before the inmate’s scheduled release, has offered
to provide transportation, and the facility has approved the
arrangement.

I was wondering if this is what i need to do and if anyone has picked up a loved one at CSP=LAC Lancaster?? any information is greatly appreciated on the process. E..G.. where to park, do i go inside and wait in some building??, does he just walk out like in the movies?? do i call an make arrangements like its states above??
Thanks in advance for any info that can be provided!!!!:D

My boyfriend has been in Lancaster reception for almost 2 months. He has not seen his councelor yet. Also, when will he know a release date? He has been locked up since december 21st 2006 till now and he was given a 16mth sentence and was told he will do half time. Does anybody know when he may get out. I am new to all this. Any information will help.

Thankyou all and what a GREAT site this is!
