hi, has anyone written a letter for there loved ones parole hearing? i am not sure what information will be best to include, do i give them information on me? who do i address the letter to? etc etc
if anyone has done this and can give me some pointers?

more so if you have written a letter to support your loved one at a hearing where there has been a parole violation and the board is deciding if they are going to reinstate or revoke parole.

I don't know who you would send it to... but this is what needs to go into a support letter:

Who you are and your relationship to the prisoner.
How you will help them on the outside.
How much they have worked toward accepting responsibility for their crime and changing themselves to become a model citizen.
Things he has done to improve himself.

Do not downplay anything and do not praise him too much. State facts and figures as clearly as you can and do not say things like "I want him home because I need him."
