I got some good news - my man rang this morning to tell me that he was getting shipped to Cessnock today, next stop Glen Innes probably in a week's time! Yippeeeee! Full day visits! Big long hugs! Only 2 1/2 hrs away! :yay:

And my granddaughter is due in a couple of weeks - they live at Armidale which is only 60 kms from Glen Innes so I'll be able to combine visits.

I'm so excited - it's my birthday next week & I was starting to go downhill, so this is a great pick-me-up - he should be able to ring me by then he reckons.

My birthday is on Tues, it's often a very serious time for me because of my spiritual/religious path - it's Southern Hemisphere Halloween, when we honour those who have passed away - but also a wild time when the pixies are about, so I tend to swing between feeling sad & mad! I don't really feel like celebrating this year, but it's the Full Moon on Wed night, so yeh, an online party could be interesting! I may log on late or log off early tho - appt with the Moon of course <cackle cackle>

The Glen Innes bit could be a week, could be much longer apparently - depends on approval up that end, vacancies etc.. but at least he's on his way, and even if he does end up at Cessnock for a while at least it's closer to me than Sewerwater (oops! I mean Silverwater of course :D

This only lasted about 2 minutes, but at least I knew he was up there and safe. Hoping you hear soon.

I had a quiet day at home, pottering around & waiting, hoping for JD to call & feeling a bit sad cos I still hadn't heard from him since Friday. As the sun was going down I was about to go up to the neighbours' for my birthday dinner when the phone rang, I answered it & that familiar monotone voice came : "You are about to receive a phone call from the GLEN INNES Correctional Centre...!!! I hope he was holding the phone away from his ear a bit cos I reckon I squealed pretty loud! :clap: He had just got there, & could only talk for abt 2 mins cos they were about to have a muster - said he'd try & ring tomorrow to talk more. So I can see him this weekend!

Turned out he'd organised a present for me thru my neighbours/friends (a "Dorrigo Waratah") and a gorgeous card which he'd got them to buy & send him so he could write in it & send it to me himself.

And I had some other good news today too - my daughter is moving down to the Gold Coast from Cooktown, so I'll be able to see her more now as well.

Had a lovely evening with my friends, had a yummy dinner & cake then went for a walk in the moonlight with my girlfriend & the dogs <happy sigh>

And tomorrow is the big party! Woohoo!
