i know i can bring a birth certificate for my two year old, but i don't have one yet for my newborn. i only have discharge papers from the hospital. is that good enough? i need to know before i take the day to go all the way there wuith two kids and just myself. please any help is greatfully appreciated... thank you so much in advance! lee

most likely it will be ok. the first few times i visited w/ my son i only had the certificate from the hospital. sometimes they checked, sometimes they didn't...until i ran into this one @sshole CO that gave me a hard time & wouldn't let me visit. nevermind i traveled all the way cross country to see my hubby, he wouldn't let me see him. if you can, make sure the hospital paper look official. can you get a temp. certificate? if the baby's a newborn, they probably know you won't have a certificate for a while, so give it a shot. most likely they'll let you slide.
