we are reading Monster, by Walter Dean Myers, so it would work PERFECTLY with that book. i will try to track it down!

I seen it in Sept of last year and it was really good! It's something that I would wanna watch again. Prior to my ex going to Rikers Island (he was in the EMTC jail as well), my mom tried to get me to watch this but I had no interest in it what so ever, but then when he got locked up I guess I wanted to see what it was like. Aside from that , it showed me that the inmates are just like any other people, They have goals, dreams and things that they want to accomplish just like the rest of us. I think this documentary broke a lot of stereotypes also. I really like Santiago's lyrics, and I think they all have a lot of potential. I really wonder whatever happened to the 3 days. Did they go back? How did they adjust back to society?

Does anyone have recommendations for films/documentaries that are similar to Riker's High? Especially for use with teens
