first I had to say that I'm from Germany - and my english is not the best. So dont wonder :o
Last week I recieved a letter from my lover and he really asked me to become his wife :love:. I never see him before, never touched him, kissed him....but my feelings are so real, strong - I'm in love :)
Has anybody some informations about wedding in Holman - how will it be?
I will see him in August for the first time, I'm so nervous and a lil bit afraid too.
Do you have any informations about visits in Holman, can we share some kisses, holding hands etc...?:confused:
How are the guards, are they ok?
Is there anything I can take with me when I visit him (food etc.)?

your english is just fine, don't worry about it girl, you'll fit in alright around here.
my Loved one isn't on DR, but i know that the guys on DR visit on Fridays, usualy from 7:30 untill almost 2:00 you can't bring in anything for him..( i wish we could, that would be GREAT!!!!) i'd love to be able to do that!
as far as holding hands and kisses... * you get one hug and one kiss when you get there, and one hug and kiss when you leave* but as far as holding hands, usualy it's fine.. just above the table lol the guards that over see the visits, they do their job.. and will peck on the glass at ya, if they think yall are too close.. or will tell ya, don't do that!... but over all, visits are usualy really good. they do have a very small visiting room, so they tend to make people leave, because it can fill up pretty fast, and others are still comen in for a visit.( maybe that wont happen when you visit) i have seen days where the room don't even get half way full.
as far as weddings there at Holman... I'm not sure right now on all the details.

Visits are indeed Friday 0730-1330 (we usually can sneak till about 1400 out of them if they decide to be lenient!!).

As SC said, you get your hello and goodbye hugs and kisses. The guards I have dealt with are decent about letting people hold hands and the like as long as it isn't blatant. Otherwise they will let you know not to do it again.

You can't bring anything in other than coin for the vending machines. There are some outside the visit room and some in. I know that there is stuff that my guy likes that you can only get outside so you may want to consider taking an "order" to bring in with you. You can always access those machines on the break as well.

When it comes to the wedding stuff I have no idea, sorry.

I too will keep my fingers crossed that it isn't busy on your Friday and you end up with your full 6 hours. Here is to your first!!

Hi Sandra...& welcome! I know you're excited about your visit in August! The first visits are always the best! The whole anticipation of everything...wow! Your visit day will depend on his status. Our visits are every other weekend...alternating from Sat. one weekend...the next visit (2 weeks later) would be on a Sunday...& so on. You can hug & kiss upon entering & leaving. We always sneak a few kisses in between...just don't get caught. Make sure to follow the dress code. You can't wear any jewelry, etc. Just have to be "Plain Jane!" Ugh. You can't bring things in but they have vending machines where you can purchase food, drinks, etc. for your visit. The gaurds are pretty nice in general. Just don't push it...they will throw you out! Most of the time they'll give you a warning or two. I've only been kicked out once...but that's ok, it was towards the end of the visit. I've known a few to get married at Holman. You have to get all your paperwork in order, etc. You may have to plan another visit to get everything together...marriage license & such. Don't be nervous....you'll be fine!
