has anyone heard of this "Scared Straight" tour...what is it like and can anyone do it..if so how?

Wow, is that still around? that was done years and years ago, but the way they structured it, later research found that it had no good effect, statistically.

The scared straight program is rarely done. It is done with the school kids as a class thing. You would have to find out which schools still participate in the program. Try calling this number (212) 487-7483,4,5 its been a few years since I used it so just as them to transfer you to someone who can give you the information you are seeking.... Hope this helps.... I remember it from a looooong time ago, A friend of mine went there through a community center program that it was given through. She told me that they basically talked to sentenced inmates. I haven't heard of this in a while though.

wow this would be great if they continued for troubled teens to show them they can end up there.its good from h.s students!!!
