Hey, there...take 231 south straight thru Troy and then to Brundidge...you will see a Hardees on your left.......turn there and go about...ummmmmm.....several miles to a small country town called Clio...go thru it and there will be a sign on your right saying Easterling Correctional Facility....I am going there on Saturday the 21st. When will you be visiting?

BTW, I used to live in Sylacauga....WHAT a coincidence!!! LOL!

How long does it take to get to Easterling from Sylacauga? I was just wondering what time I should leave the house. Plus, I would like to get there by 6:00 a.m. I can't wait to get to see him. Also, should I go to Alex City or go threw Rockford to Montgomery? Thanks for the info!

I say if you want to get there about 6:00 a.m. - then you need to leave about 3:00 a.m. or 3:15 a.m. at least...

I would say go thru Rockford down Hwy 21 and then when you get to Montgomery, take 231 South.

I would think that going from Sylacauga to Alex City would only add time to your schedule and be out of the way BUT this is only my opinion....

I used to live in Sylacauga and am familiar with going this way so this is my opinion with experience....

Hope you get to visit and all goes well - Good Luck!!

Yeah, I left about 3am and I got there at 5:30. The line wasn't long. There were 3 people already there when I got there. I figure when I go this weekend I won't leave quiet as early. I was so excited. But it seemed like 8 oclock would never get here. I shook for about 15 minutes when I first arrived. I was so nervous, felt like I was the one incarcerated. But, I was so happy to see him. Leaving was the worst part. I cried most of the way home. But, atleast I now have something to look forward to.

WOW! There were already 3 people in line at 5:30!! Like I've said before...I usually try to get there about 6 or right after and I'm the first or second in line. This past weekend I was late...it was a little after 7 when I got there. But, luckily...there were only 2 cars ahead of me. Yeah, it seems like it takes FOREVER for 8 o'clock to finally come! That's why I told ya I take make up and all that other stuff to do while I'm waiting...plus, I usually catch a quick nap:thumbsup: ! That first visit is always nerve wracking!! You made it through, though and are looking forward to the next visit...GREAT!!

Oh, yeah...they are DEFINITELY hateful to certain ones in there! Every visit we watch each other through the fence. Well, as much as we can. He's always standing down toward the end of the yard that's directly across from the road. He stands there and waves bye to me until I'm out of sight! Breaks my heart:( !!
