Is there any current information on DVI in Tracy ? Everything posted that I have read is from 2003-2004 I need some current info. Does anyone know about the cuurent situation at DVI ? Is there a media blackout ?
AS far as i know my son has been in a constant state of lockdown.
How on earth do they keep their sanity on lockdown for those long periods of time? MY bathroom is bigger then those cells, and I lose it when I think about that I can only image what he is going through 24/7. I'm only 29 minutes away from DVI in Tracy and alot of good that does me when he can't even get a visitation form to me. I'm so worried and there seems to be nothing I can do but wait, wait, and wait some more. Theres alot more questions then there are answers as usual . If anyone has any answers I'd love to hear them before I go bald stressing.

Here is a link to the DVI Prison Guide - http://www.prisontalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=190376

This may help you out a little.

He can still write you if on lockdown. :) My hubby has been there since December, he actually gets a lot more yard time than I ever thought. They have a lot of lockdowns in the wings, alot is due to the overcrowding.

I have a friend who was in DVI then was released and is now back there again. He hates it and prefers to be at another prision. He says they are on lockdown all day. He said that San Quentin was much better! He can stand in the middle of the middle of the cell and with his arms stretched out he can touch the walls. Very confined.

When he was in last time I was never able to visit. Hopefully this time I might be able to as he has 2 1/2 years to go.

Yeah, my hubby is considered Reception, but is in AdSeg.... that is sooooo much better than regular RC. He gets 2-4 hours in yard 3 times a week, and he has been there since December and was only on lockdown once for a couple of hours for a facility weapons search. I feel sorry for the other guys in the Z-wing and stuff like that... it is just crazy!

Does anybody know how long it takes for the inmates to talk to a counsler to see where they mainline? My husband has no paper so he has only been able to write me once, and that was the 2nd day he was there and he said he hadn't spoke with the counsler. I'm going crazy not knowing!!!!
