:confused I am going to be making my choices soon and need to decide what will be best for me. I'm not in the best of shape. Old, overweight, high blood pressure, depression, and degenerative arthritis. I have difficulty walking and cannot stand for long periods. I'm afraid that if I don't get my medications (I take 5 kinds a day) that I will have a heart attack or go into manic depression.
Alderson would be my first choice. I'm from West Virginia and it will be the closest for my family to visit. But is it the best for me?
Those of you who have been there or at other places, please give me some advise. Thank you, Missy

Alderson was my only incarseration and during the time there the doctors took care of the inmates. I hope all goes well for you and follow the doctors orders.:)

what do you do at night?

when is free time?

When I Got To Alderson It Took Three Days To Get My Meds And Then Only Because My Family Called And Complained. I Also Have High Blood Pressure And Thyroid Problems. They Only Check My Blood Presure Twice While I Was There. Don't Take Your Meds With You Because They Will Just Throw Them Away. Alderson Is Also A Working Camp And Everyone Has To Have A Job.you Have To Be Up And Dressed With Your Bed Made By 7:45 Except Weekends.breakfast Is From 6 To 7 And Lunch Is From 11 To 12 And Dinner Is From 5to 6. There Are Other Times To Eat If You Have A Job. Most Of The Food Is Out Dated Food And They Serve A Lot Of Chicken. There Is A Tv Room But You Have To Have A Radio To Hear The Tv.they Have A Library And A Rec Room. I Read A Lot Of Books While I Was There. Most Of The Girls Will Help Make You Feel More Comfortable.
