Lisa - I lived in Hilton Head in my younger days, so I have a lot of good memories of that place. My mom and best friend still live out there and its just one of those places that feels like home to me. Also, to me, there is no better smell in the world that a Carolina salt marsh. I could stand on the docks that overlook the marsh and just melt into that warm, earthy odor. I'm totally in love with the Lowcountry.

My favorite fantasy creature is.... a vampire! I have always had a fascination with the darker side of life, and I can relate to the vampire's status as an "outsider" who is misunderstood. There is also something so erotic about them! I actually thought of getting a tatoo of a female vampire sinking her teeth into my neck! My boyfriend liked that idea! ;)

I am also nocturnal, so I can relate to them in that sense as well! I usually can't fall asleep until the sun shines through the window! Oh, and they also live for an eternity which is a bonus! I think it would be so awesome to be able to see how things evolve over time, and since I am terrified of death, it would be a wonderful thing to never have to face my own mortality. I really don't have a whole lot of family traditions. Unfortunately, my family just really isn't all those close. The only things I can think of are things that are just Southern traditions in general, like having "homecomings" at the church where our family is buried, which is like a day to get together, bring a lot of food, and clean up the cemetery and put out fresh flowers and stuff. We always did that. Oh, and summers at the river down in Demopolis (the Alabama people will know where I am talking about), just drinking beer, having campfires, going swimming and having good ole' country times with all the extended family. Ok, so I guess maybe we do have a few little traditions....
