I found out my honey was just transfered from San Quentin to Solano State prison. I just received visiting approval from San Quentin, is this form also good for Vacaville prison? Any help would be appreciated.

My understanding is that visiting while they're in reception is on a different system of sorts, & that once they're mainlined you have to apply again.

Once they're mainlined, your visiting approval is supposed to follow them whenever they transfer. However, some facilities require you to reapply. You just have to call whatever facility he's in and ask.

If he's transferring from reception at SQ, then you probably have to reapply. :(

I could be wrong, so be sure to call Solano and ask what they require.

My inmate was a transfer to Solano and my visiting form was valid.

If you were already approved while your inmate was at S.Q., you do not have to apply again. If you want to be really sure, call Solano directly (707) 451-0182, and press 0. Ask for the visiting information desk. You will have to call during visiting hours though, or else no one will answer. Visiting is Fri. 1-8pm, and Sat/Sun 8-3pm.

Once your approved at a CDC your approval will follow you!
