I have tried twice to send a "new thread" and each time I get an error... So I am going to ask here and see if this will work. Has ANYONE heard any news today about UNIT 32 at MSP?? I received an email from a lady this morning and she said she caught just the tail end of something on the news about MSP Un 32 but not enough to even know what was being said. Anyone know anything about this??

Check out the Clarion Ledger newspaper for news about unit 32 at MSP. Last weeks a couple articles about the treatment of inmates.

ALSO, rumors abound... the newest one, hope someone can verify?????

TCCF is adding new units, supposedly to bring in inmates from CA,, new rumor, UNIT 32 from Parchman to be sent there??????????

WHO Actually owns the land at Parchman,,, a littel bird says it is to be vacated by 2010???? NOW where will they send everyone??

again, all this is rumors, I have NO idea which is smoke and which is fire.

The land is leased for Parchman - however it is not to be vacated by 2010. This is an OLD rumor that has been circulating for a long time.

Another frequent rumor is the 65% law - which is not true and is not happening.

California Inmates are soon going to be transferred to Mississippi however Unit 32 will stay at Unit 32 and noone will be transferred. The security risk for transferring anyone here would be too high.

In MDOC's eyes if you are in Unit 32 - you are the worst of the worst convicts. Therefore you are treated like a major threat.

Feel free to ask when you hear many rumors - some of them are new - and some have been flying around for 10 + years.
