There is information about DVI here http://tinyurl.com/2pzrvd There is also the other thread at County jails, I think I saw your name as a poster at that thread. There is a lot of information here about DVI, but you have to dig for it, if you have any particular questions, I'm sure someone will be happy to help. drenabugg 04-04-2007, 10:48 AM What are your questions... my fiance is at DVI...has been for about a year...he did reception there a few years ago...and transfered back last year...he mainlined to Zdorm...nd now is at the Ranch across the street...Drena MattsmominNY 04-04-2007, 11:28 AM What are your questions... my fiance is at DVI...has been for about a year...he did reception there a few years ago...and transfered back last year...he mainlined to Zdorm...nd now is at the Ranch across the street...Drena I just got a phone call from my son. He's being sent to the Ranch at DVI! He just mainlined a few weeks ago to the Zdorm. What's it like at the ranch? Is it really a ranch? I know they have a dairy farm at DVI, is that what they call the ranch? He also got the books I sent him. Two of them were delivered to DVI on the 2nd and 5th of March, and two were delivered last week. He also got his quarterly package! I guess they finally cleared up the backlog of packages, and it sounds like they're working in the mail room too. He said he got a bunch of letters Monday. The postcards are still the quickest, but it is wonderful having phone calls again. Except for the cost. I keep thinking I will only stay on the phone for 5 minutes, but I just hate to cut the call short when we're allowed to have 15 minutes. I'm gonna have to cut them short though, the $20 phone calls are adding up way too fast. My son also met with his committee, he said they act like they really don't care, they would like to keep everyone as long as they can, that seems to be the way they act. But he said he counselor was better, he gave my son some information on how to contact the records department to try to get his time served credit straightened out. They are saying he has 320 days credit for time served in county, the abstract and judgement (and the report from the probation dept) says he has 380 days credit. So, they lost 60 days credit somewhere. Trying to get an answer on this has been a nightmare, his court appointed atty has been no help, he won't respond to mail or phone calls. But I am happy that he's being sent to the farm, or at least I think I am. So, what's the ranch like? drenabugg 04-04-2007, 07:57 PM My fiance likes the Ranch...a lot more freedom over there...he works out in the fields all day long and he doesn't feel all closed in...it is still dorm setting...but the CO's are really friendly...your son will like it a lot...Z dorm is horrible...so the change will be well worth it...
