Hi my name is RWJ Wifey and I need some help. My husband just got transferred to Kilby this morning. I know it takes a while to get them processed in out whatever you call it. But I was just wondering how long it takes for them to get a visit or the care packages they are suppose to recieve when they get there. They told him the shoes had to be 80 percent white but they didn't tell him anything about the personal hygenie package. My main question is does he get that while he at Kilby or does he have to wait until they ship him to his permanent home for the next year? Any information about the package or the visitation will be greatly appericated.

Welcome to PTO....There are a set of guidelines the ADOC goes by for the packages. To receive those packages sometime they say you have to be in the system for x amount of months. The guidelines for this package coming up hasn't came out yet.

Thank You Bueyez94. I have gotten to talk to him the same day they transferred him. Like I said I am not new to the prison system but this is the first time I have had someone moved to Kilby. I don't know anything about Kilby. Now how long do I have to wait to visit him is it really 90 days if they are there pernanent or 4-8 weeks if they are going to transfer him somewhere else? And how do I get the guidelines for his box? I know when my ex fiance was in Draper he got a box like so many times a year but I figured that since he just got shipped there he could at least get a box with his underclothes,socks, and hygenie and stuff like that. How do I go about gettin him a box like that or do I have to wait for the June box to go out? Once again thanks Blueyez94.
