Trying to distinquish the (probably) first Closed thread ever opened on PTO. This one is here to account for the folks are represented (as Lifers/longterm offenders) here at PTO.
I think there should be a central post where the growing # of Lifers/Institutions is held and updated. I also think it's important that anyone put on it be given the annonymity they would need/deserve/expect. That's easy enough to do.
Please PM me with the institution/term of this person. That will be added to this thread with my magic moderator wand.
If that person would like to draft a short narrative on their institution or have something posted here in reply to any other thread or questionnaire type thing you may find here at points in time, their replies can be PMd to me and I'll post them in the threads. This will also work well for anything they would like to have posted.
The rest of the forum will work the way it always has, and should. This cloak and dagger business with PMs and pasting is just simply for things which should be attributed solely to the person who wrote them, and not to the member who knows them or to me who posts them by remote.
I'm hoping that they (via by-line channelling) can particpate in this forum without drawing undo attention to themselves or the people who know them. Only me, Fed-X and God will know who (member) has brought which byline to the boards.
Each of you will be asked to create a name (by-line) for each person you bring to our attention. Any time you send something on behalf of that person, please put that (by-line) in the PM and as the signature to the text.
I hope at some point there are too many for me to remember off-hand. What a good day that will be....
