my boyfriend is in pentang superjail and he told me the other day, that he is going up for parole doesn't know when, but he needs support letters from friends,family and employer... im just wondering if ne one has had to do this before..what are the chances of him beeing granted parole. we don't wan to get our hopes up, and were not telling our kids..also does ne one know how long u have to be in jail before u get a hering??

you have to serve 1/3rd of your sentence before youre eligible for parole. a letter of support is fairly easy to write, you state your name, relationship to the inmate, how long youve know him, how you feel that your support will help him if hes granted parole, his/your release plans for him(job, school, etc). hope that helps you a little more :)

my b/f was told to get letters for his sentencing hearing. It worked because when the judge sentenced him he said that due to the support that he got less time then he could have. It won't hurt !:)

tks un girl he has already been sentenced and with a few of us there and a postive pre sentece report he got a lighter sentence

Hi, my fiance was just picked up on a parole violation he is at matsqui, His violation was leaving the halfway house, but has no new charges and was employed for 4 months from his release, up until he was arrested last month. what are the changes of him being reparoled? what do they base there decisions on. i have gone to the web site for BC corrections but they are very vague with there infomation.
( he did recieve some media attention, he made the front page of the province would that be something that they would consider at the hearing)

umm to tell u the truth all i know is its about 1hr and a half from here..lol i think..

well i got some good news on monday:)) my man is going up for parole on may 16th... the parole officer called monday and set up for an oppt to come to my apt.. what does that mean??? why do they come to ur place even after they interview u on the phone???
