Those are some great ideas girl! :thumbsup: Yeah, I think it is cruel to force the men to endure the intense, summer heat! :( I hear it can climb up to one hundred degrees in a cell during the summer months, and that some inmates have fallen ill or even collapsed because of it! I HATE the hot weather, so I sympathize! It is mid May, and ALREADY I am thinking about turning on the A/C! I feel so bad for Steven sometimes, having to live under conditions that in my humble opinion, are not fit for animals! :( I noticed that the visitor's room is air conditioned though! I was worried that I would be hot, but it was freezin in there!

What drives me nuts about him?? Hmm. Well, we are still in that phase of our relationship where we see one another as perfect and infallable! LOL But if pressed, I suposse I would have to say that he can be REALLY stubborn and hard headed sometimes! Like for example, I TRYED desperately to talk him into talking to the Warden about being placed in Protective Custody(after his decision to quit the gang, and the death threats that followed) but NO! He staunchly refused, insisting that he was NOT afraid, and that he could take care of himself! Growl. The man is gonna be the death of me! LOL But what can I say? I'm a pretty stubborn gal myself!

the biggest thing you and your man don't see eye to eye on is?

I feel like this one is made for me, and I am so not even up to answering it today, but I will anyway. The biggest thing we don't see eye to eye on is how slowly everything actually does move here on the outside. I know they must think the world just flies past and you can get things done SO quickly, but we have to factor other aspects of our lives into things out here and doing legal tasks, "arranging" households, etc., is not a quick and easy thing to do, especially when you are trying to do it by yourself. Ugh. I can't deal with this today, so I'm just not gonna. :-P

It can be so tough being the girl/wife of an inmate sometimes, and it can also be very lonely and isolating, which is why I am so thankful for sites like PTO. It is so true that sometimes our men forget that we have our own problems, that life is not always idylic on the "outside" either. I find too, not with my man(he is actually extreamely patient and understanding), but in the past with other pen pals that I have had, that they can be very demanding at times, and get VERY impatient! They have a lot more idle time on their hands, and fewer responsibilities to attend to, than we on the "outside" do, so sometimes we can't write as often or respond as quickly as they would like, and they get put out with us!

Get a good nights rest honey. Things will look better in the morning! Remember, we are here for you, if you need a sympathetic ear.

Alright, the last thought that went through my mind before I fell asleep last night? Well, I tend to be a bit of a worry wart, so usually I am worrying about the health or well-being of someone that I love. I worry a lot about my man's safety, being in a maximum security prison, especially after leaving the gang. I worry about my mom's health. She has been under so much stress lately, and she works too much! I love her dearly, and I am constantly worried that something bad will happen to her! :eek: Sometimes I have a hard time even falling asleep to begin with, because I have so much on my mind! I'm sure you all can relate!

One of the most thoughtful gifts I ever received was..... Well, I have received many over the years, but last year for my birthday, my best friend sent me an assortment of greeting cards, each of them unique and some of them absolutely adorable! One of them had a squirrel on the front, holding out a single red rose(gave that one to Steven!). Another had a groundhog on the front, holding a colorful bouquet of flowers, and inside it read : "I dig you". Cute huh? I collect greeting cards, and I send them often to loved ones and friends, to let them know that I am thinking of them, and that I care!
