hello everyone,i was just wondering why is'nt there much info on crc norco? also i dont seem to understand the visiting process of the inmates being assigned visiting days according to the last 2 digits of their cdc#. how does that work? are you not allowed to visit the inmate on both days saturday & sunday? i dont understand how that works.also do they have family visits at crc norco? if so,what are they like & whats the process of them? i'm sorry for asking so many ques. its cuz i would like to know becuz my husband will be transferred there.if anyone has any info. please keep me informed.thanks.

I'm assuming that you already read the Norco Guide (http://www.prisontalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=202919)? Anyway, some prisons have started this new visiting system, using the last digits of the inmate's CDC #. Call 1-800-374-8474, and press 1,6, then 5 for the details. You will be able to hear which inmates (CDC #'s) get to visit on which days.

Visiting at CRC was very busy, so they broke it down by #'s. You will get one visit day every other weekend, on your assigned day. If you can't make it that day - too bad. You will also get a visit day, every other friday, also depending on his number. Friday visits are noon to 7, and weekends are 8:15 to 3:15(ish), because they start when they darn well feel like it.

You need to be there on a weekend by 6:30 to line up, and there is no line on fridays. Be sure you bring a few changes of clothes and shoes, because the rules change all the time.

Get your friday visits in soon, because if he works or has school, he won't get visits those days. They have gotten REALLY strict on that lately.

They have family visits - kinda yucky, but once approved, they go fairly smoothly. You'll get one every 3-4 months.

Be nice to the Lieutenant (Clark), he's generally cool. Brazier runs the program, but the Sgt. can be a dick, steer clear of him. The other staff is OK - for the most part.

Take care of the porters! They are the ones who will get your man out quickly. Buy them a soda now and again, they will really hook you up if you do.
