I went to visit Louie today and he came into the visiting hall with these two gorgeous picture frames that he had made for me. I am going to post them in my Gallery because I'm not exactly sure how to do it here. So please, feel free to cruise over there and check them out.
The heart frame only has one picture of me and him in it. The rocking chair has 9 pictures of him and his son. They are both gorgeous. Best gift he's ever given me--minus this beautiful ring that I wear with pride! :)

LOL I love him so much. He said it was my belated Anniversary present. Since he couldn't be home, he wanted to give me something special. And he had to practically beg the Lieutenant to be allowed to bring them into the visiting hall. Normally, you cant bring ANYTHING!

My husband is a wonderful artist (paintings in watercolor and acrylics, drawings in pencil and ink) who sends most of his beautiful work home to me. And it is those gifts, the ones where they give of their time, talents and thoughtfulness, that mean the most. It takes more effort and energy to make a gift from the heart than it does to buy a gift, and it is these tokens of love that I treasure the most...even though they cost little, to me they are priceless. I'm so glad to see others who are able to appreciate their loved one's "special gifts" and appreciate them for what they are worth, not what they cost.
