Steve&kids 07-09-2002, 12:50 PM Thank you so much, we have been spending a couple hundred for 2 nights every other weekend.Steve&kids aprilcat 07-09-2002, 12:51 PM oh my gosh! steve, check those out right away! you will def be able to find some bargains!!!! KelliKoz 07-10-2002, 05:17 PM Hi Steve, I travel a lot and I also have a few suggestions. On travelocity.com the LaQuinta Inn is advertising a $56 rate, with breakfast included so you can feed all those kids! I would also recommend you register with any company where you can earn free stays, they include all the Marriott and Hilton properties, Choice Hotels, etc. I don't stay at LaQuinta, but always ask. In addition, while you are in the Ft. Worth area, stop at a couple of favorites or even local places that are acceptable to you. Ask to speak to the manager, tell them you travel to the area x times a year or a month and ask what kind of rate they will lock in. I used to work in the hotel business, and to keep occupancy rates up, they want regulars. Hope that helps. Kelli Shortie 07-10-2002, 09:17 PM hey steve!! let me know in advance and you and the kids are welcome to stay here. I live in fort worth... It is ok with me.. I may leave to go see ant but you are more then welcome to come rest here... if not you can stay at the motel 6 for like 35 or 40 a night.. it is up to you.. It is not a problem they boys have 2 beds in there room and they can sleep with me... so just let me know... faeriegirl 07-10-2002, 09:18 PM Kelli, that is great advice, I am sure it will help a lot of people out! Thanks for the info :) aprilcat 07-11-2002, 06:32 AM shortie: how nice of you to offer your place to steve!!! pto and everyone here is just WONDERFUL!!! i wonder how any of us managed before it?!?! :) Steve&kids 07-11-2002, 08:55 AM I think everyone here is great!Steve&kids KelliKoz 07-11-2002, 10:42 AM You are all welcome. It is a place to find strength where we need it. I am sure there are so many diverse backgrounds, "ask and ye shall receive." Kelli Shortie 07-12-2002, 10:16 PM Hey steve what do you think??? Let me know// Steve&kids 07-13-2002, 12:37 AM Hi shortie, I think the offer is wonderful! The reason why I have not replied to it yet is because Stephanie is not in Ft Worth for the time being. The state she commited her crime in had her transfered to them from her prison in FT Worth. They were trying to convict her on state charges, the same charges the Feds got her on. And it was not double jeapardy because it was a state charge.I got her a fantastic lawyer and we got the state charges ran concurrent with the Fed and she got no fine. Now, she is sitting in the county jail awaiting transfer back to Carswell. The problem is that since the state picked her up in Ft Worth, the state has to bring her back to FT Worth. She has been waiting for over a month and until the state gets around to it, there she will stay. When she is transfered back I will let you know. You are a very kindhearted person for this offer! Steve&kids Shortie 07-14-2002, 10:01 AM ok Steve just let me know.. Tell her to keep her head up and do the same we are praying for all of you.. Just hang in there ok it will get better I promise.. faeriegirl 07-15-2002, 08:44 PM That is so wrong. I am so glad it worked out ok, but what a horrible stupid thing for our system to do. I am thinking about you both, hugs and prayers from this end. If I can help at all let me know. |
