I just want to hear how anyone with a spouse in prison deals with the BED and the BEDROOM. I frankly treat it more like a closet these days, and especially since it's been cold, I've been sleeping in a warmer room in the house, on the couch. I hate to think I'm turning into some kind of freak, but it just doesn't feel right sleeping in that bed without him, even after 2 years. Maybe when it warms up I'll get my $hit together and stop acting like I'm still in college and sleeping on a friend's couch in front of the stupid TV and all of its stupid news and even more stupid reality shows.

But the bedroom is just clothes everywhere...maybe I should be grateful to have the largest "walk-in closet" in the county!

Can I just say...with all the pillows I keep, it would be tough to fit another body! Also, I've used this time to do what I always wanted to with my bedroom since I was a lil girl, it's like a jungle! Patterns I know he don't care for! But then...who's gonna care about color-material-etc when those pillows get kicked out! :p

Mines kind of messy now. I used to pick up daily and make the bed. Now I wait until the weekend to clean it up. And if I feel like going out I sometimes just leave it. Never did that before it was always cleaned up by the time my husband came home from work. Oh well.

My bedroom is kinda like a closet too!!! But I still sleep in it... I kinda clean it but not like I would if he were home. I also can't sleep on my regular side of the bed... I have to sleep in his spot or else I will not sleep...

My honey had been gone for almost a year April 13...and it's hard to get use to him being gone, and after the first 6 months...I like to sleep in the middle of our bed pillows all around, and amazingly...I can always see the floor. :) the weekends, I let our girls sleep with us...so it helps.

My bedroom is my private sanctuary. One day, I took everything out of it - everything off the walls, everything off the top of the dresser and bedstand, etc. I painted it a color I like and then I looked at what I'd taken out, chose ONLY my very favorite things, and those were the only things that went back into it. I tried to make it so that, any place I looked, was something I enjoyed. Put a radio/CD player in there with my favorite music. My favorite books. And that's where I go when the world gets to be "too much" and replenish my soul. Z.

My bedroom still looks the same as it did 10-31-2005..
The good thing is our son sleeps with me and keeps me company..
But then again this will be a bad thing when my husband comes back and our son is still sleeping with us..

I am so lonely it just don't make no kind of sense. I am so used to being right under my husband so this $hit ain't working. I think I would just crack his skull if he makes me go thru this again. I am so ready for him to just hold me and do other things to me, BUT anyway, truthfully, if you don't think about it and just try to stay busy, you CAN get thru it.

Our bedroom is messy. It would not be this way if he were home, he would tell me to clean up my mess. He's not a neat freak, but I'm kinda a pack rat. So I have stuff in boxes that I leave out in our floor and he would get on me about my mess.
The bed is empty without him, but I have the stuffed animals he has bought me on each side of me, so it does not feel so empty. Also I fall asleep in his recliner sometimes.

Well--I had to move out when Jason self surrendered (Yesterday) . I couldn't afford to pay rent/bills on my own since I'm a full time student and only work part time. So I'm back at my mom's house and it seems that EVERYTHING that was in our house is crammed into my small upstairs bedroom...just like high school again! lol--I think I'll hang some pictures of us together today!

I guess I went the opposite of you ladies. When my man went to jail, everything was in the floor. Cause as long as I was in bed with my man, I couldn't even see the mess on the floor:blush:

Now that he is gone, I spend all my time trying to stay busy, so our room is clean. OOps, I said my room at first. He only lived with me for 3 months before he went back.

I was like Zelda and completely revamped the room while he was gone. It was quasi messy before, was quasi messy during, and now is quasi messy after. While he was gone I added about 6 more pillows to the bed, and now he'll get frustrated with them in the middle of the night and throw them off the bed.

I do notice that our bedroom seems to have gotten its old "smell" back, (don't go there!) its that man smell - ya know?

haha--I've noticed my bedroom has improved in smell a LOT--just in the 24 hours he's been gone! :D

Our bedroom has definitely changed. I once was a neat freak but now with my toddler always making a mess and with me always being on the go my house looks like the zoo! There is stuff everywhere! The bedroom has clean laundry still in the bags that I fail to unpack. The bed is never made. My daughter no longer sleeps in her crib she sleeps on the bed with me so we have completely taken over or at least my little one has :) .
