Got a simple question... got a letter from my hubbie today telling me about how when we go to visit, all our kids can go - ages 5, 12, and 17. My question is, may I be allowed to bring "stuff" for the little one to do to help keep him occupied? Like a coloring book, paper, a car or two? I am worried he will become bored, then start acting up. By the time we can go visit - since we live out of state - it will be 16 1/2 months since they have seen their dad. Please help. Thanks :)

No they will not allow anything in visitation. The only thing you are allowed to bring in are your keys, drivers license and money to be used in the vending machines.

When I used to take the 4 boys to see their Daddy I realized we didnt need toys etc. Daddy was the best toy! Suggestions to keep them occupied:
Word games like word association
Spelling bee contest
Rock paper scissors
Create a story- One person starts and says a few sentences then the next picks up where u left off
The other games like- Im going to grandmas house and Im going to bring then they have to repeat what everyone says (hope u know this one) only substitute "to grandmas house" with "to see Daddy" (REAL FUNNY)
I spy
There are a lot to do- google travel games for kids and u will get tons of ideas. This is better too I think because they can play w/ toys any day but seeing Daddy is rare. This is more of quality time!:D And write Daddy a letter to let him know about this so he's prepared too. And if he balks at playin with them in public u tell him straight up-I got the kids all the time-It's your turn:p Good luck and hope u found this helpful:cool:
