They can recieve music(tapes)books but only mailed through a book store like Borders or a music store you CAN'T send them yourself. You can put money on his account(book) so he can order from the ASPC store , you can mail letters, but you CAN'T send stamps or envelopes they must order them through the store.
Sometimes they take photos during visit's but the inmate must buy ticket before hand at least before the visit.

I think each case is diffrent when it comes to seeing the parole board? Call his lawyer they should know and I am sure the inmate will be notified ?

I am dealing with Eyman SMU 2 right now and soon he will be moved to Central unit... I found the ADC website very helpful if you can believe that... Maybe Yuma has their own... there's a handbook that you can download and print, or you can send them a self addressed envelope with .60 postage and they'll send it to you. Hope that helped... Lisa

You can contact the parole board yourself and ask. Generally it will take about 6 months at least just to get the paperwork to the Board. You need to have his doc number, name and where he is housed when you call. Just ask them if they can tell you when his case might be before the board. Let me know if you have any other questions, I have helped many inmates prepare their parole board packets after being sent back for violations and during their prison terms- for early release.

Also, just so you know, there are certain criminal offenses and sentences that can not be granted early release - those cases still go before the board, but they are not allowed to recommend early release for those certain offenses and sentence terms. Mandatory sentencing and violent crimes mostly.

The Board is actually called the Board of Executive Clemency. The phone number is 602-542-5656/ The fax number is 602-542-5680. They are located at 1645 W. Jefferson Rm 326, Phoenix, AZ 85007. You can fax them a letter of support for an inmate too, make sure to include the inmates name and doc number on any correspondence you send. I would recommend sending a fax copy at least 30 days before the hearing is set to go before the Board and suggest sending the original via certified mail, return receipt so you have a record of it -
