Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my story about my visitation this wkd with my fiance...It was our first contact visit...He is finally at a yard (Lexington Correctional Center Medium)..I had seen him in Dec for over an hour while he was at county..Before that I hadnt seen him since 04' when we broke up and he moved back to Oklahoma from Mississippi (where I am)..So needless to say I was VERY excited and nervous...I didnt know what to expect with my first visit to prison..I got approved for special out of state visit, which allowed me to visit on Sat and Sun for 4 hrs each day...It was a very laid back envirement and the people where friendly..We got to hug and kiss, but just to be close to him was wonderful...It was hard to leave him there on Sun...It was a long 9 hr ride home for me...Since I dont know anyone there, it will be kinda expensive to drive and get hotel every month, but with some sacrifices, I will be able to go every other month I hope...Im just really happy and my spirit was definately recharged from seeing him...I know all of you know how the rollercoaster of emotions..Im new to this and it definately can wear you down if you let it..Especially being with a long-term sentence..But anyway, I hope everyone has a good week! :) :heart: :heart: :heart:

thats great! Im happy for you! my son just mentioned he wsa getting sent to LEX Medium yard soon. they lost his paperwor, hes been at the max larc for 38 days now. Its only about 1.5 hr drive for me, so that will be good. its the closest to home he could get! my medical records i snet to OKC chief md & mental health officer did some good, hes getting some meds now finally, so he sounded a little better tonight. wht a long fight that was just to get some meds to him! htye havent been able to call for last 4 days, been on lockdown. he didnt have time to tell me why- had to get off phone real quick. so what does your b/f say about lex med yard? more easy going than some? with the medical unit right behind them, i'm hoping it will be a benefit to my son and his needs too. glad to hear you got your visit.
