Hey all i have been reading this board for months and it has been helpful. I did finally leave my abuser in December. He currently has 1 misdemeanor and 2 felony charges for DV, they all happened in a 7 month period so none of them are convictions. The states attorney is offering him 2 years state time in a plea agreement. Anyone know what happens now, I am lost. That is a picture of me that was from one of the felony assaults, I am not really ready to tell the story. I just want to get through all of this court stuff and waiting to find out if he wants to bring it to trial. Thanks

Welcome to PTO. I'm glad that you have left your abuser. I'm not sure what will happen in your case. I'm sure someone will be along soon that can answer your question though.

CONGRATULATIONS!i am happy that you have taken control of your life to be safe.it is hard to go through something new without support from family and friends.i am here for you if you need t6o talk.i am a survivor of dom. vio. and i realized last week that my children and myself are happy.of course we still have some healing to do from my past mistakes but im confident we will survive.feel free to pm me if you need to talk.
