My really good friend Daniel is in Snake River. We're kinda-sorta in a relationship but...it's just hard. See, we've been friends for like 8 years and we'd talked about dating before he was locked up but it never happened and I ended up moving to South dakota :argh . I was reading the paper for my old hometown (Lincoln City) and found out he was locked up so I wrote him and things have sorta gone from there. At first he had a girlfriend from before he got in trouble but she basically abandoned him after the first couple months. Now we're stuck trying to figure out what to do w/us because he doesn't want to ask me to wait for him (about 4 years left) and I WANT to but at the same time don't know if I should/could. I mean yeah, I WANT to but I don't want to say I will until I'm sure because I don't want to pull the crap his ex did. He's my bestfriend and I'd never want to hurt him like that. Any suggestions, comments?:(

Bless you for being realistic and wanting to be sure before taking any chances------you're a wise lady and he's a lucky guy.

Just take it one day at a time. Sometimes if you don't make promises, you keep the pressure off that might cause you to fail. Just do "today" one day at a time and if it's meant to be, it will be.
