A former top official with the Missouri Highway Patrol was tapped Thursday to lead the state's Board of Probation and Parole.

William K. Seibert Jr., 52, of Jefferson City, was appointed last year to the seven-person board within the Department of Corrections.

The MO Parole Board is currently operating with only 6 members. Where is the 7th member?

i am sure that it is in state law that there be 7 members on the parole board. There has to be a tie breaker if someones case is taken to the entire board.

On the website it isn't even showing that the position is vacant like they have the Asst Divison directors, which, by the way, have been vacant for at least 6 months.
