I would like to know if the letters that we sent our loved ones are read. i sometimes want to ask my brother personal things, and ask how are the conditions are there, and mention when i have heard any info. i dont want to to have him hurt of treated wrong. for instance i just heard about someone calling threeway and being punish horribly for it, i know my brother will not even try to call that way if he knows that that is harshly punishable, do u understand my concern? thanks for listening love eti

From what i've heard yes they do read your letters and i understand your concern I limit myself to asking him some questions I just wait till I go visit him and ask him in person.

I do the same thing... ask in our visits. I never ask anything specific over the phone or via mail... you never know is listening in or reading your stuff.

The mailroom is supposed to scan letters for drugs, inappropriate pics, etc. The cops in the buildings are supposed to read incoming and outgoing mail. Also the cops will pull certain persons mail looking for specifics--etc. Like the ladies here have said speak face to face in visiting--but even in there the walls have ears.
