spadesboo 03-05-2007, 09:00 AM the crime bill is a 3 phase 6 month long program the only place i know of right off hand that offers it is easterling
Blueyez94 03-05-2007, 09:43 AM If he was ordered to take the crime bill then yes he will have to take it, before his parole hearing.
BT'S LIL SIS 03-05-2007, 06:27 PM Hey Thanks, spadesboo Said The Only Place That Offered It Was Easterling, How Can You Take It, If The Prison Doesn't Offer It?----do You Know What Type Program It Is,i Mean , Do You Know What They Teach Or What Is Their Objective,i Know It's Not A Drug Or Anger Management Program, Any Idea On Obtaining More Info On It,sorry, but I Am Totally Lost,as You Can Tell,i'm Tryin Though, I Sure Appreciate The Support From You Guys!
spadesboo 03-06-2007, 08:09 AM Im sorry i was not clear about where you can go thru this program. i know my fiance had to go to easterling to go thru it. his certificate says it is a zero tolerance drug treatment program and the way he describes it there are three phases consisting of pre-treatment, drug treatment and after-care.
BT'S LIL SIS 03-06-2007, 07:00 PM :) THANKS SPADESBOO--I DEFINATELY UNDERSTAND THE PROGRAM NOW, I AM GLAD TO FIND OUT THE THREE PHASES,AND THAT IT IS FOR DRUG & ALCOHOL REHBABILITATION, I THOUGHT IT WAS SOME KIND OF NEW DEAL,AND THAT ALL INMATES HAD TO COMPLETE IT,BEFORE THEY WERE EVEN PAROLE ELGIBLE,SO THAT'S WHY I WAS SO CONCERNED, DID YOUR BOYFRIEND GET TO TRANSFER TO EASTERLING,FOR THE SOLE REASON OF TAKING THE PROGRAM, AND HOW DID HE GET IT APPROVED? THANKS FOR YOUR TIME. :) :)
spadesboo 03-07-2007, 09:54 AM Hey I asked my guy to explain the crime bill to me and he said that the program is not just for drug addiction, but for any kind of addiction or behavioral problems, which can include drug abuse, alcohol use even anger management issues. I told you wrong there are 3 phases but each phase last 6 months-so if they were to go thru the whole program its 18 months. He also said that some people that are required to take crime bill can get back by with doing SAP sometimes, depending if it is court ordered or not.
BT'S LIL SIS 03-07-2007, 12:51 PM  YOU ARE A GODSEND- I THANK YOU FOR TALKING TO YOUR MAN,AND GETTING THE RUN DOWN ON THIS CRIMEBILL DEAL, I AM NEW TO ALL THIS AND HAD NEVER HEARD OF IT, I AM REALLY UNDERSTANDING IT NOW AND IT ALL MAKES SENSE, MY BROTHER WAS NOT COURT ORDERED TO TAKE IT, ALTHOUGH THE WAY I SEE IT IS, IF YOU TAKE IT ANYWAY, IT WOULD HELP YOU ON A PAROLE HEARING? HE WAS ORDERED TO TAKE ANGER MANAGEMENT AND HE WOULD DESPERATELY WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CRIMEBILL PROGRAM,ANYTHING TO MAKE HIS PAROLE CHANCES BETTER!PROBLEM IS,HE IS AT BIBB CF,AND THEY DO NOT OFFER HARDLY ANY PROGRAMS,SO THEY TELL HIM, ..? AND WE WANT TO KNOW,HOW CAN HE DO THE PROGRAMS AT BIBB, OR GET TRANSFERRED,OR CAN HE EVEN GET MOVED?? WHAT OPTIONS DOES HE HAVE, LIKE THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE AN ANGER MANAGEMENT PROGRAM,AND HE HAS TO TAKE THAT,AS ORDERED BY THE JUDGE,ANY SUGGESTIONS, YOU HAVE BEEN SO HELPFUL,I HAVE TO TELL YOU AGAIN,HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE YOUR TIME,I TRY TO GIVE BACK AS WELL,:grouphug: A KIND DEED IS A WELL SOWN SEED***
spadesboo 03-07-2007, 02:46 PM Hey we are all in this together and thats why this board is is so great. The more programs he can participate in before he goes up for parole the better because a inmate needs to prove to the board that he wants to better himself. he probably needs to talk to his classification officer about getting into some of these programs. I know my man had problems getting into SAP a couple months ago. They kept telling him he didnt need it but he kept pushing until they finally got him into a class
BT'S LIL SIS 03-10-2007, 09:06 AM :hmm: WELL, HERE GOES AGAIN,SPADESBO-YOU HAVE BEEN SO MUCH HELP,I THOUGHT I COULD DEPEND ON YOU,FOR THIS ANSWER, BUT COULD YOU EXPLAIN WHAT IS SAP? IT SEEMS LIKE I KNOW THE ANSWER,BUT I AM BLANK THIS AM., :slap: I WILL HOWEVER RELAY THE INFO TO MY BRO. AND HAVE HIM, KEEP ON,KEEPING ON, I WASN'T AWARE,THEY HAD CONTACT WITH THEIR CLASSIFICATION OFFICER. HE HASN'T MENTIONED IT, HE IS SO CONCERNED ABOUT SO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS,HE MAY HAVE JUST NOT THOUGHT ABOUT IT,? HE HAS NEVER MENTIONED SAP,BUT I HEAR IT ON THE FORUM OFTEN. AS ALWAYS, BEST WISHES TO YOU AND YOURS
proudmom 07-03-2007, 02:00 PM hi bt's little sis, my son is at bibb and is graduating from the crimebill sap program in a couple of weeks.your brother will have to apply for this program and there is a waiting peroid on it. it is a 6 month program.it is a tough program, sort of like going thru boot camp, but yes it is very important in their getting paroled.i have known of inmates getting turned down for parole for not completing crimebill.still, it is a good program and i'm sure your brother could benefit from it.tell him to sign up for it right away.goodluck!
Tamter143 07-03-2007, 09:36 PM My guy completed it back in May and our hearing for parole consideration is on July 11th (next week). He went thru Crimebill Program at Easterling!
