Pretty muc as Adam's wife said - its a prison that is not owned or supported by the state.... as for it being BETTER than a regular prison its ran much the same way as most prisons.... its probably not as ran down as most state prisons and newer looking than most state prisons - simply because most private prisons are newly built. You can do a google search on "private prisons" and it will pull up some short articles you can read. But for the most part they are just newer prisons not supported or ran by the state that it is located in.

Thanx Guys on the explaining of the private prison,I guess I am still very much confused though,What are these prisons, who owns and runs them, and what is their purpose vs the state prisons, how are they funded? What's up with all that kind of stuff? I hope that I am not that big of a dummy but,I have just never heard anything about private prisons............I appreciate it if you can help me to understand. ***

The state of Alabama does not use the Private prison in perry county...Now the state does contract with some private prisons in Louisanna..

thanks,I quess I was hoping there was a better option at getting my brother transferred to one of these "Private Prisons" as he is very unhappy at Bibb, because they offer very little if any programs, and he desperately needs them for parole chances. It sounds like it is more like a place for the state to send inmates for overcrowding reasons,as I have heard about the Limestone inmates being sent to Louisina,I think I get the overall picture now. However I will take Niighdrmr's advice and go to Google, just to get educated!
