My son JJ left last Friday for DVI in Tracy. I would like some of your help in how I can obtain his CDC Number so that I may write to him. Also, can I speak with his counselor regarding his placement?
Thanks in advance for all of your help. You have all been great and I value your advice.
Take Care,
Jim
You can call the prison and ask to speak to his counselor and he might give you the CDC # or you can get it from your son when he writes to you. I know there are other ways to obtain the # but I seem to be brain dead tonight. Love Barb

You can call the CDC phone # with his full name and date of birth and they will give you his # and location.Let me find that # for you and I will be back to post it

I just cleaned the area around my Computer and can not find the number to call and LOCATE an Inmate! But, here is more:
To locate an inmate within the California Department of Corrections, please call (916) 445-6713, which is available 24 hours a day. You must have either the inmate's CDC number, or the inmate's full name and date of birth to receive information. The Inmate Locator/ID Warrants will provide an inmate's location, mailing addresses and relevant phone numbers. The Inmate Locator/ID Warrants will not provide any future release date information. Please note that for new or transferring inmates it can take up to seven business days to update location information.
Let us know if this helps!
Love
