OK..once again I find myself having to ask more questions. Odie has been before the Parole Board in Dallas, (he was moved from Gurney after just a month) Anyway, we've sent a couple of support letters, and recieved very positive replies. He seems to think that the interview or whatever it was went well. He told me in his letter that they told him, that he should hear something in 2-8 weeks. My question is...he is being paroled to our home when he is released, I need 2 know if they just call and verify that he does have a physical address, are do they come out and check it out? My main concern is that my husband is a Vietnam vet, and has guns, he has already talked to our other son who lives in a different city about keeping them at his house until after Odie serves out his parole time. Anyone have any info on that, or maybe a link on the "rules" of parole. this is pretty urgent as he could possibly be released soon, and I want everything 2 be approved.
