I would like to discuss with everyone why people get Banned from PTO. It actually is a rare occurance but it does happen.
The most prevelant reason for this happening is repeated disregard of the Policies of this community. For some reason, some people just flat out refuse to recognize and obey the rules that have been set down here. We have rules for a reason and thus, I believe they have helped PTO grow into what it has today - the premier prisoner & family support community on the web. Without Policies and Guidelines, you have anarchy and a whole lot of upset members when a few start abusing the rest. We will never allow that here. PERIOD.
I always try to work with members that have a problem following the rules because most of the time it is an honest mistake. I have even broken a few here myself! The ones I am talking about though are the ones that "don't recognize" and continue to break, or try to find ways to circumvent the policies. I have little patience for this.
The other major reason for people getting banned is being abusive in this community. PTO is about support, not conflict, or trying to stir it up. I will NOT tollerate personal battles and strife here, and certainly not give outsiders a voice to bash us. Everyone should be fore-warned. People starting trouble at PTO may be banned on the spot. This has been discussed in the polcies but I will clairify again here.
