Is it me or is it impossible to get an appointment at DVI for visiting. The phone is always busy. I have had three people trying and still couldn't get through. I work on the days that they allow people to call so how in the heck are you supposed to make and appointment. I can't just sit here and call and call at work. Anyone got any suggestions.

Patience. That is all I can recommend. Sometimes I have gotten through in 20 minutes... other times it has taken almost 2 hours. But I do get through.

When my husband was in DVI, (8 months minus 3 for lockdown), I was able to get through for both days every weekend.
Like Aliwant24 said, sometimes you get through in 20 mins, other times it pretty much takes up the whole calling time. If it's at all possible, have a friend who has the time, call for you to make your appointment. All they need to have is HIS CDC #. Due to work scheduling, I called for a friend, who's son was there to make her an appointment. Luckily by then he was moved to the ranch.Pateints is the key!! Keep in mind... the prison system is a hurry up and WAIT game. Good Luck!!

Also, remember there is usually only 1 officer making the appointments, and every call takes a minute or two to put the info in. I have always gotten through (eventually) and have never had the appointments be full. It is the luck of the phone lines, and quite honestly, I do not stress about it, I know my call will get through eventually :)

I went through this nightmare this past Friday.. I started calling right as it hit 8am and I start work at 9 so I figured I had enough time to call over and over and hopefully get through. I did that for a 1/2 an hour but then I had to get ready for work. I didn't get to take a shower. Yuk! I called on the way to work my friend and I called on break. And another friend of my also tried calling a few times. I was allowed to call at work per my coordinator so that helped out a lot I had a few of the lines going at one time haha and I FINALLY got through! yay!! Or so I thought...his area was all full!!! no more appointments!! I literally cried in front of everyone. It's kind of a sucky way of making appointments, although I was spoiled by county! and online appoitments! so easy....lol wish me luck for this cominng Friday!!! I have the day off!!! :)

I called from 7:50 till 12:00 today and got through once to have it ring forever and then get told Im sorry no one is able to take your call please try later. I am one of those call, busy , hang up, redial, over and over again people this is frustrating so no visit for saturday try again tomarrow. Is this typical of the 1st of the month or is the normal always. didnt have this much problems for my first visit for thansgiving. but did get the no one able...... on my first get through, and got my appointment on my second. Sorry for rambling just irritated.
