I don't mean to be a cynic, but I see so many peititions come through and Texas just throws them in the trash and continues being a jerk. However, I do see them letting these guys purchase TV's from the commissary.... at $500 a piece!!! I guess they would do it if there was a profit to made from it :argh Pam 07-08-2002, 02:56 PM Sandy, I was 209. Hope that this does some good. In Alabama death row inmates are allowed to have TV's but they have to purchase them with money that is on their accounts. Family or whomever sends money order to prison and they cut a check and one of the Captains goes to WalMart or somewhere like that and picks it up for them. They have no cable like people are led to believe, just he rabbit ears on the tv itself. This has worked out good here. Perhaps you can get them to agree to something like this. I sure hope so. It has to be miserable without one. Good luck.
