Okay, so my visiting adventures continued!! I got the birth certificate part done.
So, I go today to visit.... went thru the CDCR rules for visiting.... to make sure I got the diaper bag right, only to find out that infant seats are not allowed. They were niced enough to hold the seat in the office for me.
I just hate it when rules are not consistent.

So how did he react when he saw his baby? That must be awesome.
You know, I have seen people take in infant car seats before and also one of the umbrella strollers.

Mothers have infant seats all the time at my husband's facility.

Oh he loved it!! He cried.. He is in RC so could not hold him, so that really got to him.
I have seen car seats the last time I went too!! *LOL* I am starting to think DVI has their own set of rules!! I am going to ask them for a copy tomorrow!! *LOL* At least they were really nice about it :)

That's weird cause Im allowed to bring my son's car seat with me. They just hold it at the desk for us and they have cribs inside the visiting room for us.

I was starting to think it was because he was in reception, but it sounds like someone else did it too. Here is the area in the visiting guidelines about what you can bring in:

*LOL* yep... that is what it says. I printed it out and showed them today.... their response.... "the website is wrong."
So, I was told there is a committee of some sort that represents families. I was told that I should contact them, because they know the right procedure to solving these kinds of issues. I am not sure if that is right info or not.
My thought is if they have different rules then they should have it posted accurately on the DVI site. IMO :)

I found mine in the make up department at Wal Mart...it was only a few dollars..so that was good. If you find a transparent diaper bag...make sure its not TO big. Some faclities fuss if the diaper bag is to large.

Inmate Family Council is who you want to speak with. :) I was unable to find any information about the IFC in the DVI forum however you can contact the prison and ask them about it. Here is the main number ~
