I am trying to compile a list of lawyer's groups etc. who do serious investigative and legal work for people wrongfully convicted.

In the last 10 years or so in Canada we've had at least a dozen cases of wrongful convictions overturned. The most serious was DAVID MILGAARD who spent 22 years in prison fora murder he never committed.

This week, work is going on on behalf of Steven Truscott who was sentenced to HANG at the age of FOURTEEN for a murder hh never committed. He's been released from prison, but still wants his name cleared.

Guy Paul Morin was another, convicted in TWO trials for the murder of an 8 year oldgirl who lived next door to him.

Out of the grass roots organizations that worked to exonerate Guy Paul, came a group called

Association In Defence of Wrongly Convicted (AIDWYC)

<www.aidwyc.org>

There's also <www.centurionministries.org>

The Southern Centre for Human Rights (in Atlanta, Georgia) <www.schr.org>

The Innocence Project <www.innocenceproject.org>

Truth In Justice <www.truthinjustice.org>

Alliance for Prison Justice (Boston)

~~~~~~~~~~
Help me compile this list, with addresses & phone numbers, weblinks etc.
Menolly,
I don't know of anything right now but should I come across something I'll be sure to let you know.
God bless you in your endeavor.
Ah Cheena;
God has NOTHING to do with it.
This stuff pisses me of, big time!
Credit Grandma Moses, as my inspiration. She once said
"Let the dead bury the dead. Me, I'm gonna fight like hell for the living!"
Love,
Menolly
OK, Folks!!!
Ken and I now have between us more than ONE HUNDRED weblinks, names and addresses etc.
Now we have to figure out how to compile and make such a list public, and readily available.
Don't you think that the fact that so many such organizations even exist for WRONGFUL CONVICTIONS, is truly scary?
