Bread ~ I never knew this!
When you go to buy bread in the grocery store, have you ever wondered which is the freshest, so you "squeeze" for freshness or softness.
Did you know that bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week? Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Each day has a different color twist tie. They are:
Monday - Blue
Tuesday - Green
Thursday - Red
Friday - White
Saturday - Yellow
So if today was Thursday, you would want red twist tie - not whitewhichis Friday's (almost a week old)! The colors go alphabetically by color Blue - Green - Red - White - Yellow, Monday thru Saturday. Very easy to remember. I thought this was interesting. I looked in the grocery store and the bread wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the one with the plastic clips have different colors.
You learn something new everyday!!! Enjoy fresh bread when you buy bread with the right color on the day you are shopping. Pass this information onto friends so they could be informed also. Wow, I can't believe I'm actually sending some useful hints instead of junk email..... :D

Thanks, I'll remember that. I buy bread all the time and I always squeeze the loaf. Thanks for the info.

Well if you can't remember the color code (like me) just look to see what color there is the most of, since there's so many different brands and they all use the same code, you can bet that's the color of the day.

Now that you will be looking for twist ties, you'll notice that they put them in the back so you can't see them. That way they can keep a few from yesterday in hopes no one can tell.

ALL I really want is some good bread, any kind. I can't get any down here cause the water sux. When I went home I ate bread for like a week straight. I also brought back tons of bagels and bread. Right now I'd take good bread with a poka dot twisty, lol.
But since I'm in Florida the tip will come in handy. Thanks.

I like different breads too. In fact, I'll take bread(s) over sweets any time!
