To send him things, you have 30 days (from the day he got to Drumheller).

You can send clothes, cd's, disc-man (no ipod or mp3 player), no food-alcohol-drugs (a bit obvious lol)... usually the pen could provide your son with what he's allowed to receive...

After that 30 day grace, if he needs something, he'll have to buy it through Sears catalogue (which is provided at the pen)... and for him to buy that stuff, he'll need money in his account... so you can for sure deposit money for him to have it later on...

DO NOT JUST SEND CASH AND LET HIM BUY HIS OWN THINGS! IT TAKES A VERY LONG TIME AND JUST AGIATES THE PEOPLE WHO ARE INCARCERATED. IF YOU ARE SENDING YOUR SON ITEMS. HE IS ALLOWED TO HAVE A 13" TELEVISION WITH REMOTE CONTROL, A PERSONAL STEREO AND A PLAYSTATION 1 (no PS2'S or 3's are allowed nor are XBOXES) INMATES ARE ALSO ALLOWED SOME PERSONAL CLOTHING BUT NOTHING WITH BUTTONS DOWN THE FRONT (SHIRTS) NO KHAKI PANTS AND NO SHOES THAT COME ABOVE THE ANKLE. HE IS ALLOWED PLAYING CARDS, A FAN (GETS VERY HOT IN THE CELLS IN DRUMHELLER) AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU SEND A POWER BAR there are only 2 plug ins in the cells.
