Does anyoneknow if there is a mail delivery problem again? It's been 3 weeks since I have have sent a letter and it's not like him not to write me.

That is a crazy coincidence. But my daughter and I were just saying the same exact thing. It has been two weeks and no letter! He always writes twice a week and they pick up the mail in the SHU every Thursday so I usually get the letters on Tuesday of the next week. But not lately.

I talked to my guy yesterday.He said the mail is backed up about 2 to 3 weeks :( I'm not getting any mail either and my mail to him is also taking longer then normal.Btw this is lmarie I had a temporary name change.....

My mail to Richard has been taking right at 4 week to reach him but his gets back to me in 7 to 9 days. Love Barb

I'm the same as Barbara, I have been getting my husbands letters within 7 days but he hasnt received a thing from me in over a month!

I still haven't received any letter recently! The last one I received postmarked Aug 15 said that he would write me weekly like usual and yet I haven't received a single thing. Is it just me or does anyone else ever feel real worried sometimes. Like if he were sick or worse, would they notify me? I have been listed as his emergency contact.

Still no mail or phone call. :( I am getting REALLY worried!

Hi, my grandson Zach just got a letter from Richard thanking him for the birthday card he sent to him back at the first of August. Maybe we should have a contest to see who's mail is taking the longest :) J/K Love Barb

Barbara I will beat ya in the 'who's mail is taking the longest', only because our postal system is going on strike next week I really want to swear after writing that but I wont!!!!!!!

I recieved a letter from my buddy two days after he sent it from Tehachapi but I don't know how long it is taking for him to recieve mine.

I just got a letter from my son (general pop.) yesterday - the 24th - that was postmarked the 22nd. I know that mail to and from the SHU takes waaaaay longer. However, when we were on a phone call the night before (he calls me about once a month...most calls go to his wife), we were about 5 minutes into it when the prison phone blew up...or at least, that's what it sounded like from my end! Can't hardly call back to ask what happened!

I received a letter today that was written on the 12th.

I received a letter today dates the 18th Sept!

I just received a letter from my son and he finally received the mail I had sent him and it took 22 days. He writes they have been through this before and it is just a total mess.

My guy sent some very important paperwork to his Mom almost 3 weeks ago and she never received it.Turns out it was sitting in the mail room for those 3 weeks because it wasn't in the "right envelope" They just gave it back to him yesterday to resend!!!

Well, I still haven't received any mail. :( It's really beginning to frustrate me because none of it has come back so I know he had to have gotten it. It's been 1 1/2 months since I sent a letter. Grrrr....I guess, I should just keep writing to let him know I care?

I know it's hard, but try not to worry, when I got my letter he was chatting about a letter I had wrote in August, it seems like they are filtering through but VERY slowly.

Just keep writing, you will get a letter soon!

I just got a letter from Richard yesterday, he said my last letter made it through in only 17 days so things are looking UP. Love Barb

I received a letter yesterday that was written on the 24 of Sept. In the letter my hubby references having just received letters I wrote dated Aug 31 & Sept 9.

It is extremely unfortunate how they play with the mail at the institution. Part of it is they are upset that the court battle has been won allowing inmates to receive info from the internet. PBSP had refused at first but now they must comply with the court order. People want to question the sanity of the inmates, I think the sanity of the C/O's needs to be in question. It really takes a lot of thought to figure out ways to make life difficult for a person. And the bad part is they are getting paid for it.
