How Central would Birmongham be to most everyone...I know that the North [people and the south people would have to travel long but maybe we could work out a place for them to bunk onver night with one of the group...

Montgomery would be really a good idea. I live all the way down here by the gulf and birmingham is a long ride, but I could stay with spades family if yall decide on birmingham.

Hey Folks... I'm in, assuming my wheels are repaired by then. The town of Clanton is on I-65 and is actually the center of the state N/S and E/W... plus no one can miss the HUGE peach they made out of their water tower. Many groups meet there because it's so convenient. They have nice parks with covered pavilions too, but you have to reserve in advance.

Where ever is a whatever to me.

(The fact that I have a ladyfriend in Clanton I've been wanting to meet in person has NOTHING to do with the recommendation, y'understand?) :p

I'm wondering... are there any more ex-cons that take an interest in this site? :confused: I'm not forgetting what I went thru and what everyone there is still going thru. I may not be able to get things changed, but By God they will know I've been trying!

Count me in. Maybe I can convince my mom to come too. She really needs the support since her hubby was just sentenced on Wednesday. We are in central Alabama, Talladega County.

It looks like Montgomery is the primary suggestion for location, but has date been talked about yet? It would be nice to have a 2 or 3 month notice (though I'm not sure how realistic that is!) for those of us who want to attend but have a LOOOOOONG way to travel. :-)

Yeah, I agree...we do need a few months notice!! I don't have that far to travel...but, I do have to make sure work is covered and vacation time is approved:thumbsup: .

Update to all who signed up for this Alabama GTG we have a new one just about to go in to the final Stages and would like you guys to participate too.
