Yes we do, I posted something this last weekend in the Military Forums, and I try to pass through a few times a week, there are others as well.

I was at the DB from 90-94. Who are you? I remember all of the old timers. Your reg# must have been 6 something?

I was at the TU during your stay there I was known as JR....

congrats on getting out. did you stay the whole 20 years there? i thought they transferred the inmates to the federal prisons after a while?

I did my whole stretch right at the DB.

I've noticed the drop in traffic, too! I surf every night to find more info and see if anyone has added anything.

I too check to see if anyone has posted but things are slow in this fourm. I don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing. I gave my boy the web site and told him to let the other inmates know that there is some good support for there familys here but not takers. I do believe many of them are afraide to post (they think the fourms have eyes). Seems like some come when they have problems and go when they are over but, welcome back and congrats on your new freedom.

We're still here! I think it's a matter of where we are in our state of crisis. The higher the crisis level, the more we post. My son has told others of the forum and one of the other inmates has said his mother also posts here. As to whether the forums have "eyes," so what?! If the facilities think our postings merit watching, then maybe they'll take what we say seriously and look into some of the issues we discuss. I've always been taught that you cannot change a system from without, only from within. We aren't in, but close enough. One word of caution about postings - please do not use names, numbers or any other information that could be used to identify a particular inmate (especially if it's not YOURS!) No sense gambling that any monitoring is in good faith. Lord knows, if they listen to the phone calls between my son and I that they know how I feel about certain issues there. So far, no repercussions to him, though. :-) Anyway, glad you old-timers are still interested in DB issues and more than glad that you're outside looking in. Keep the faith, folks!

Hawkman is here! I know JR. He and I kicked it at the TU for a while. I consider him a friend, and he will always be. He let me borrow a sport coat one time I went home for THP. :D

if you notice, there are way many more views to a thread than their are posts to a thread. so im sure there are eyes out there. i certainly dont want to cause any trouble for mine.

me, i try to come on when i have a free minute, which doesnt seem to happen often, and i check here, if someone needs something, i try to help. and if no one is posting, at least i feel a little better thinking all of us are maybe getting out and living our lives and not frozen in time waiting for our loved one to come home like some might do. granted, i have my moments, but i try to keep on moving.

In no particular order and happy days to whatever i might have missed :)

I am still here even though my son is HOME, I still come here to offer support if I can and just to check in and make sure everyone is still hanging in there.

Here now ... but spent most of the day here. Probably won't have this much time in the future, but will still try to stay in touch between the greater support needs for myself.
