Hi there, :) I am just curious what you all are doing for your guys for Valentine's day? Since it's the middle of the week, of course none of us can visit, but I'm wondering if anyone else has thought of any creative ideas?
I will of course be sending cards, and probably taking some pictures, and I'm going to dress up extra nice in the new outfit I bought for our Valentine's day visit. I was thinking of trying to make a homemade card because I know my husband would love that being that's it made especially for him by me, but I'm not sure how to go about making one since we can't use glue or stickers or anything. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance and Happy February!! (early ;) ) Lisa

I had forgotten Valentine's Day was coming! Now I have to think of something. Usually I just do a card with perfume and lipstick kisses - pretty boring.

Nothing special...just a card like normal. I'll be visiting him the sunday before so that will be our Valentines Day. :) I am going to wear my devil horns though hehe They let me wear a santa hat for Christmas...so they will be expecting it!

I am going to send him a card everyday, starting tomorrow the 1st. I am also going to send him some pictures and dress up extra special for our visit the weekend before Valentine's day. Sounds like my plans are the same as Lisa's. :p

Since I will be finishing my packing to move the following week he is just getting cards sent and he is more then happy with that as he knows how busy I am with the move ... but I have bought a ton of cards and we will have calls that day to chat and chat away..

you can make a card with using stencils to draw designs that are fancy as well as computer programs to add graphics..
a personally written poem is better then glitter to our men
have a great valentines

The stencils are a good idea! :) Thanks for that suggestion- I didn't even think of that. When I go to the store, I'll look for some neat stencils. I need to get working on my Valentine's gifts, you ladies are all ahead of me!

Hope your move goes well, Arriana. :)

I also bought a pack of 30 little valentines cards today, the kind that kids give out at school. They have different cute little bugs on them and they all say cute love sayings. Im going to send a few with each of my letters until Valentines day. :p

That's a cute idea too, Aimee! :) One of the girls at work bought a bunch of Valentine's designs and we used paint and stamped them on (not sure if I described that right! :p ) and made cute little Valentine's cards. They turned out neat and I know Dale will like them because they are handmade. I'm not very crafty, but they were pretty easy to do. I'm excited for him to get them! :)

Well since I would have bought him something for Valentine's Day if he were home. I sent him a few extra dollars to purchase something from the stores. I send him card at least once a week. I have a card making probram called PrintShop and he really likes the cards. Since he has been moved to Florence we get 2 hour visits once a week. And they have non-contact visits on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Therefore I get to see him for two hours every week that is so great.n When he was at Lewis we only got one hour visits only on Fridays. Since I work I could only go every other Friday. So that is the best Valentine I could get.

I found some pretty steamy stories on the net. I replaced the names in one story with ours and printed the story on colored paper using the Fiolex Girls font. I am sending it in with his Valentine card.

I'm doing the "card every day" from Feb 1-14 thing. Since we are so limited, I've resorted to being childish. I got a kids' activity and coloring book and have been including pages in each card. They have silly little games and stuff. I also got a pack of pretty funny mini (kids') Valentines. I'm sending one of each of the styles in the same envelope. Each with one word from a sentence that basically wishes him a Happy V-Day, so that he'll have to put them in order to figure out what it says.

This time of year is tough...Christmas, then Valentine's, then his birthday all back to back. I'm not at all creative or crafty so this is a stretch for me! :)

The people in the mailroom probably hate Valentine's Day.
