I know the books and magazines,etc have to come from the publishers. But I have some questions. Can they receive hardback books or must they be paperback? Can they receive any kind of magazine? Well I know nothing sexually explicit or violent. But so many magazines have something sexual or violent inside, I was just wondering if there were definite ones that are not allowed. If you have learned the hard way what is definitely not allowed, will you pass if on? Or maybe I have missed a whole thread that is already about this. My son is in Grimes in Newport. Oh and the magazines, do we have to make sure there are no staples in the binding?

I guess the answer to this is NO. I will just call the mailroom at prison and find out. I will pass on any info.

Sorry,but I really don't know the answers....magazine I have sent were straight from the companys and all I have sent were Music related,nothing in those violent or anything.Books I have sent were soft cover mailed from the local bible gift shop.Never had a problem with them and the staples to my knowledge.But I think calling the mailroom is your best bet.Good Luck Kity
